Analyse agricultural landscapes and spatial trends under chosen jurisdictions together with earth observation engineers
Conduct baseline and project feasibility studies on select landscapes
Steer potential soil studies and soil testing through the course of project development and implementation
Lead the design and monitoring of earthworks, cropping, harvesting, and residual management in a movement towards climate-smart practices
Lead the planning and development of nurseries and seed production
Perform statistical analysis on farm data and model crop growth and yield using peer-reviewed methods and tools
Steer evaluation, documentation, and development of potential market value chains originating from project areas
Support project development manager(s) in developing project documents compliant to certification standards and programs

Deep understanding of agricultural ecosystems in tropical and sub-tropical climatic zones
Over five years of experience in designing, developing, and managing regenerative or climate-smart projects in agriculture and land-use sector with the potential to show samples of work done
Willingness to live and work in Berlin
Willingness to travel overseas for work, especially to sub–Saharan Africa
Openness and adaptability to the atmosphere at a start-up
Professional references
In addition to English fluency, languages desired are French, Portuguese, and/or Spanish
Education in agricultural science is desirable
Knowledge of relevant scientific tools and methods is desirable
Knowledge of one or more agricultural commodity value chains is a plus
Knowledge of national regulations and policies regarding agriculture in sub-Saharan African countries is a plus
